No, that's not what he's saying. He doesn't care if it's Marlin coaching or not. What he's saying is that he sets the bar a whole lot higher than perhaps most other, if not all, Cajun fans. There's going to be a guy amongst us that sets that bar above everyone else. I think that guy may be Express.
I was once strutting up the aisle steps at a game at Cajun Field... in my red thong... and as the entire crowd rose to their feet and applauded me... there was one guy that yelled out, "I've seen better!". I was never sure who that guy was... but I believe it to be none other than Express. His standards are quite simply... off the charts of reality.
Unfortunately, that's basketball. This has been the story of our year thus far......Inconsistency. This is also a reason we have been so frustrated with this team because we all know they are capable of such wins and even better. The question is...Will we build off of this win or go lose to Northwestern State?
Because he was just countering a semi-dumb comment. There is nothing wrong with it and it has merit. We want to beat our chest about being the best in state outside of LSU, we have to beat the likes of McNeese. Its pretty simple. While some of you get ____ed when that game is mentioned and will likely do so for the future, it should at least concern you minimally that we are showing such inconsistency. Hopefully, that loss and this big win are the two things that start us off on that postseason journey but to ignore that bad loss is just as fruitless as ignoring the big win we just had.
We finally played like we are capable of playing and beat a team our equal. Hopefully Shawn is getting healthy again and it seems we are definitely settling into our starting PG for the season and utilizing Shepherd at a combo guard rather than strictly PG. Crap like the McNeese game happens in basketball but the thing that makes you a good team is improving from it and moving on. If we can do that, that loss could be one of the best things that happens to us. If we don't and we continue to play .500 ball, it would just prove that we are not really improving as a program.
Jay it isn't that we don't Cherrish that win because we do!
It is the up and down play that we have gotten from this team so far this season. There is no way we should have lost to McNeese, Tulsa or even Auburn if we play with the type of intensity and consistancy that we showed last night!
That is the biggest issue to me.
Geez dude, my comment was shat talking to the douche Tech fans who have nothing better to do than start game threads on their opponents message board because they were fully expecting a win.
We are all full aware that we lost to McNeese. We don't need your novel to remind us.
We haven't won at mcneese since 1999... That's a lot of really good teams between now and then that haven't won there.
