It's not my fault you're taking that word that way, but ill oblige. Up until midway through 3rd quarter, TB had 7 rushes for 28 yds and was 9/18 for 106. That's a little mediocre in my book. But as I said, he came alive the rest of the game and finished with 11 rushes for 54 yds and 16/28 for 216. More importantly, he came alive on a crucial drive to seal the win.

Prior to those 2 1/2 quarters against South Alabama, has he been mediocre at UL? So if he was mediocre for 2 1/2 quarters against South Alabama, we should put Haack in to see if he can be better than mediocre in 1 1/2 quarters?

Jay provided enough stats to show that the kid is anything but mediocre as QB at UL.

OMG... I've been reading the posts regularly that have anything whatsoever to do with criticism of Terrance. 97% of them are normal conjecture. Are we really making a case out of the 3%? And BS to comparing the criticism of Terrance (versus the consideration of Haack in the first quarter of the season) and Les Miles. 50% of the fan base at LSU does not like Les Miles offensive approach. 30% think he's dense. Just about everyone recognizes he recruits well and is pretty decent at the administrative operation of an already successful program.

Terrance in no way, shape or form is being "judged" like Les Miles. Les is paid a gazillion dollars to be the greatest football coach, in the greatest college football conference. There is no comparison whatsoever. Terrance, for 95% of the critics, is simply being evaluated as a passer. And in the early games... he was struggling. The idea wasn't to run Terrance out of town. It was to consider another football player on the team by the name of Haack.

There is no justification whatsoever to jump on a microphone or a fan forum and dog the people that openly contemplate whether Haack would be a better passer (and perhaps a more effective QB as a result) than Terrance. At this point in this season, I do not agree. TB is doing very well. But, to attempt to ridicule them for liking another Cajun football player... is absolutely ridiculous.

And whether some of you know it or not... one of the people on here who thinks Haack would do a better job... is a former WR for the Cajuns. So... when you make these stupid comments about "not knowing football"... I think he runs circles around the majority of posters on here in the "pass and catch" aspect of this game.

Some people here are not openly contemplating a change. They are openly stating that a change should be made. This Free Haack campaign is ridiculous and those people are being called out for it. Even when Terrance has led the team to four straight wins, these Free Haack people still want a change to be made. These people are being ridiculed because they just can't grasp the concept that they are wrong when they think that Terrance is a mediocre QB. His statistics prove otherwise.

Really? I think outside of one game, Harris has looked tentative and he's struggled to get yards more times than not. In fact, Broadway's outgained him on the ground so far this season by 19 yards on 37 fewer carries (and that includes sacks against Broadway going as negative rushing yards and rushing attempts). Harris plays an important part in our offense because his job is to take a pounding and soften up the defense for other guys, so even minimal rushing yardage serves a purpose when it comes to him, but he's not as effective this year as he has been in the past. Some of that may be due to losing carries to McGuire. As to the 20+ carries affecting McGuire, it absolutely would. He's gotten nicked up both years on very limited touches. If you turn him into a workhorse, the increased pounding will bring up aches and sprains that he may not be dealing with right now. He may be tough enough to play through them, but they will definitely have an impact on his long-term health and effectiveness.

You all cant have it both ways:
If you are in the camp that McGuire is a "no-kidding heisman candidate," then 20 carries for a 20 year old is not asking a lot.
And, If he WAS "tentative and struggling," he is not now.

Harris - as I mentioned - is doing a good job -- and so is BROADWAY (running and leading the team).

For the 10th time: the OC (or whoever) needs to STOP relying or ordering or play calling Broadway to throw 30 times -- it is NOT his strength this season (I dont know why and I wish it were not so).
And I have NEVER advocated replacing him with HAACK -- Ever.
Just run the ball more -- maybe like the old days: "running will free up the passing game" and may make Broadway more comfortable and a pass better.

I 100% believe that once the LaTech game was out of hand, TB was coached to not get hurt and plays where he ran were limited/eliminated. Take away that aspect of his game and it is very understandable that he would be in a funk.

Just for the record, I thought that passing was the only way to end in the end zone for the USA game. For that reason, I thought Haack should go in like he did for Southern, to spark the offense. I do not think Haack should be the starting quarterback this year. Not that my opinion matters...

I knew I didn't just make my conclusion up so I just looked at the play by play and referred to the replay on espn3. On TB's first run of that game he dove head first through 2 defenders to get a first down. His next was again a dive for positive yards when there was nothing doing on the play. His 3rd run was for 33 yards and he was chased down from behind. No one ever said he was fast I don't feel like watching the entire game to see when he started going down "gingerly". Just wanted to clear up any confusion caused by your statement.

OR....check this out...since we are talking about Broadway and follow me here. His BEST receiver and MAJOR factor in our game plan has a monster game against Southern and was on his way to the same against Tech then tears his meniscus. Out for 3 1/2. That means he is out for Ole Miss and Boise....a major piece is missing...we go into a slump. He comes back and helps us out of a slump and we get a much needed win. Then bamM...breaks his ankle early in the Texas state game. Do you think that would be difficult to deal with? ALSO...thunder and lighting have really only been healthy TOGETHER one game...stAte.

Its time to look at ALL the factors that affect the team and stop thinking that these very young men (can't forget TB is married and has a little one) are just that...young men that will have off days and make mistakes. And the coaches have to adjust for those bad days.

I really wonder what is said on the head sets. maybe an ex college coach can shed some light on it...probably wont matter though.

The best arm we've seen on our team in many years is wearing the headphones. It gets a little frustrating when wide open receivers are missed. It's Hud's call and we're winning games with TB. I can't wait to see what happens next year. I hope we have some young WRs ready to step up. I also have a bad feeling that Haack will be wearing the headphones again. Just seems like such a waste of a whole aspect of our offense. We're very one dementional right now but its good enough to beat most teams in the conference. Can you guys live with a Free Haack next year campaign?
