Man, you are tough. You want to replace the quarterback who has led Louisiana through its best three seasons ever, for a kid who has thrown maybe 20 passes this season?

I feel sorry for your wife, What do you do if she has a broken leg?

    Shoot her????

    Move on to NMSU
That may be to much for the feeble minded that frequent this board.

Most of it is because he's the best athlete on the field in most of the games we have played this year. The guy gets his own yards that noone but him is responsible for.

I just think a better arm at qb would back the defense out of the box some and make the run game even more effective. If not, don't forget, Eli can catch also, a better arm could get him the longball in one on one situations. Either way Eli is the main player and everyone else including the qb is the supporting cast. Jmo

It was frustrating early in the fame. Our O was sputtering, Sally was stacking the box and Zo couldn't get much of anything up the middle. And TB was shaky on jus throws. Thankfully, the defense played well enough (and their QB was inaccurate enough) to keep it close. For whatever reason, the switch went on in the third and TB and the O turned it on and started clicking. If we gad played the whole game like we did the last quarter and a half it wouldn't have been close. In the end, I'm just glad to get the win.

The read option offense is so generic a term these days I don't know what it means any more.

I do know this, a successful passing game (no matter what you call it ) effectively kills 8 in the box and would actually free up room for Eli to run.

This was the key to the game in my opinion. Their starting qb missed SEVERAL open recievers over the top all night. If their second string qb would have started for South Alabama they win the game.

Like my old coach always said, "Everyone's favorite player is the backup quarterback"

That is exactly my point. Thank you defense and Brandon Bridge for have such a good arm and over throwing your wide open receivers........
