What's needed is to keep our defense off the field. Offensive ball control will do that. I guess that is obvious. I need to stay off this board when the Cajuns and Saints lose.

I just dont see things changing this weekend in Boise. They are just to good on that blue turf, plus the travel doesnt help, plus nothing our team has done so far gives me any hope of a W. With their offense and our defense, it should be easy picking for their QB. Also, with Boise, their offense usually overshadows their defense. But they can play well on the defensive side of the ball. I think offensively we may play a little better, but cant see either of our three phases playing well enough to pull off a W. I'm hoping to have a better showing than Ole Miss but what that means who knows.
We can beat Boise. They are beatable. I watched some of the Boise/Uconn game. Boise was only up by 3 pts going into the 4th Q and Uconn was driving but had 2 Ints in the 4th Q that set up Boise for their last 2 TDs. It was actually closer than the score imo.
Now ... the key will be turnovers. If B-Way can keep from letting them sail like he has these past 3 games ... we can win. If not, we won't. That simple. If only it was ... that simple.![]()
Guys I cannot drink the kool-aid anymore. We are not good right now. I have seen nothing in the last 3 weeks that gives me any reason to think we have a chance. Boise will beat us and it probably will not be close. Time to start being realistic about this team. If all we can do on offense is run, then we are screwed. We have to start moving the ball through the air, and if that means a QB change then so be it. As always Geaux Cajuns, but im just not gonna lie to myself this week.
For the most part, I agree with you. There's not a bone in my body that tells me that we can figure it out on the defensive side and stop anybody at this point, much less Boise. I do think that we are going to see a slow but steady progression on the offensive side and start to right that ship but the defense doesn't give me much hope at this point. I don't see this game staying close, especially with the ease for which we've allowed teams to move the ball on us through the air, its like we aren't even there to defend. At this point, I just don't see how we can keep this close.
