You have to take the extensions into consideration as well. Not as much as new hires, but it's up there. Don't assistant coaches have to be approved as well? Again, not as heavily weighted as head coach hires, but part of the job.

I guess you shouldn't credit the hiring of the new Associate Athletic Director for External to Farmer since it obviously wasn't his decision to hire him, and it took a year after the very same board demand that he hire one. T-Joe should get all the credit since he had to step in and do his job for him!

Although David Walker was AD when Husdpeth and Marlin were hired, it was known he had about 4 months left on the job. I seriously cannot imagine that David Walker was the decision maker on those hires. I have zero proof of that, but I would think that being Walker never wanted to be AD (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) anyway, he probably let Farmer take the reigns on the search being he was gonna be the AD very soon.

Just a thought, nothing else.

Do you know any of this for fact or are you just speculating? I honestly don't know the answer and I don't know the details surrounding the situation, but if you don't have facts to support it, you are just showing your vendetta against Farmer and nothing he ever does will change your mind.

No worries...a email was sent out yesterday about the hire and it wasn't on the board yet which I find strange since the last couple of weeks people have been screaming from the rafters that this needs to get done NOW and I would figure they would at least say FINALLY they hired someone.

It almost seems like Farmer and the administration are trolling the board for ideas on what to do next (hint...just a little more sarcasm there).

Saw the e-mail yesterday but was unable to find a story to link to (was in Boomer mode).

Glad that they filled the position. Hopefully our marketing will improve and we will get a consistent message out.
