Not a bad plane ride and only an hour drive from the Memphis airport, I have made the trip a couple of times.

Don't get me wrong I like Memphis, but it is not what it use to be. I lived there for almost 2 years and felt comfortable going downtown, but I am hearing that is not a place you want to be these days, but I hear the same thing about New Orleans. Hell I think I am just getting old. The only place I want to be after 11 PM is in bed.
Hell, Oxford ain't what it used to be. I Heard they had a cow tipping ring that just got caught the other night right over by Famer John's watermelon patch. I even heard they were looking to build a Best Western out there in a couple of years if the town council approves the common sewage system & city water bill they were taking about passing.
Yeah, long plane ride, but I hear tell they're coming in Wednesday night (tonight). In all fairness to Oxturd, it's only 1 1/2 hour drive from Memphis International. Huskies are a legitimate force. Had they not lost 4 out their last 6, they would have won the PAC12 over O. State.
Here's my honest (but not hopeful) take on the regional. Unless the Dawgs can get over the nasty habit of loading the bases with nobody out, then proceeding go 1-2-3 without a whimper, you guys will take it. If State remembers to pack their bats and use them (as in the 12-0 plastering of South Carolina), different story. Our pitching is great, insofar as it goes, but lacks just about 2 real quality and consistent arms. Hitting is getting better, since a couple of freshmen have got some experience, but not much power in the lineup, unless you want to count big Wes Rea, who has the nasty habit of chasing the breaking balls to the outside of the plate. One thing in State's favor---our lil' ol' boys are used to top notch competition every weekend. Never mind losing to rinky-dinks mid-week. Hell, Flarda did that a few times.
Ya'll got a real nice team, with several pitchers with excellent walks-to-strikeouts ratios, and given that Dudy Noble and Tigue have similar dimensions, those 63 HR's sorta sticks out atcha. I'm also wondering how the Dawgs will play the bounces on that funny stuff ya'll put down. I'm really looking forward to it, and I know Coach Cohen and the boys are, too.
I just hope the Dawgs don't wind up like ol' Troy on Swamp People--"Shoot 'im! Shoot 'im!! Oh, Lawd, Goddamighty, what a monstuh!"
I'm really liking this UL-Red Stick thing.
I'm surprised ya'll haven't thought of it before. It takes them off their high-horse, and ____es them off at the same time. If you repeat it enough, maybe somebody on ESPN will catch it and pass it on. I'm happy to have originated the idea, 'cause I haven't been overly appreciative of UL-Red Stick since Bertman came in and stole Ron Polk's thunder.
See? We got much more in common than all those stuffy doctors and lawyers! BTW--isn't it ironic how much UL-Red Stick and TSUN hate each other? Perhaps they see the worst of the same thing in each other.
You forgot about animal husbandry and dairy science--does edam cheese go with Cajun dishes?
