Question:

When trying to sign a two+ sports kid out of high school, how do you know what sport he is committed to? Do they make that verbally known? In this case, since he played both football (QB) and baseball, would a college try to recruit him to play football?

And for that matter, who was the last two sports star for UL in men's sports? Would Marlin, Hudspeth and Robichaux allow it?

I do know that Track and field is off limits for football players, so I'd guess football won't let him do both. If he signs on baseball then it could possibly happen if Robe allowed.

Multi-sport student-athletes must be placed on a football scholarship once they play in a game. The NCAA made that change to keep schools from stashing football players on scholarships in other sports. If he actually signed with OK State he would have to request a release from the NLI from OK State before he could sign with ULL...
