You can't pull the curtain back on political blackmail like that. If TdashJoe reveals that this was quid pro quo, that would make it even worse and we'd get our projects funding pulled or mysteriously stuck in red tape.


That's only IF my (and other's) hypothesis is true. If TdashJoe did this to appease the SBC, then yes, he's a nutless beta who doesn't deserve the title of President.

After a night to reflect, I am really starting to believe this is the work of "stay in your place" politics combined with our huge planned improvements to athletic and campus facilities.

So, the tough decision is: stick to your name or improve those facilities. I don't think this is exclusively an SBC thing. This reeks of what I watched happen to the sign outside of Blackham in the late 80's.

I made this chart depicting how i see things and how the misunderstanding can occur when referencing Louisiana as opposed to The University of Louisiana. I'd appreciate your feedback.

But check this out. Earlier this year Louisiana dumped ull.edu and yesterday Aaron Martin tries to sell ul-l.edu I'm not buying.

Nope. Didn't know it was coming. This is the first I've heard of the hyphen. I was on the air when this release came out and then had to go to the Dome.

Yea, but there are not any ACADIANA Leopards, or anything else in the universities. We should have always been the University of Acadiana unique like our school, and nickname. We should never gotten into bed with ULM we now have ST-D. Is there a cure? I know there are tons of UA's but it rolls a lot better than ULL, UL-L, Lafayette, and the rest, plus is it is not directional.

Good point. It is unique. However, the thing I like most about U of lafayette rather than U of Acadian a is we do not have to change the UL part and can actually use that legally.
