Stony Brook had an RPI rank of 86 heading into the NCAA selection process, despite going 46-11 ... with no wins against the RPI Top 100 (0-3 with all games being one-run losses on the road against East Carolina).

Another example of why winning is not emphasized in the RPI as much as it should ... and why schedule is over-emphasized.

Yeah, I read some of "Earl's" posts. Pretty silly. I don't care much for Lotief, but he is a very good coach.

Personally, I thought the LSU softball team underachieved most of the year, then overachieved in post season play.

Baseball was the exact opposite. They overachieved during the year, and underachieved in post season play.

I think he is a great coach. I was referring to you saying you don't care about the sport of softball and track
