NCAA Baseball Super Regionals

Well, I've been gone for about a year. You people are making fun of the women's softball team that made it to the world series and the men's team that made it to a super regional? Unbelievable.

Why'd you come back, if you hate this so much?

I'm certainly the first to take every opportunity I can to pile on to LSU. But Stony Brook is no joke. That's one of the best college baseball teams I've seen in a while. Stick "Florida" jerseys on those kids, and they're ranked #1 in the nation.

Bc he needs something to feel good about after both the softball and baseball teams showed how overated they are as usual! Wait a couple of days and a few of the corndog faithfuls will migrate over here and start throwing around derogatory comments just like "Earl" did last week.

No, you would have had to read a previous thread earlier this week. One of your LSU buddies came on here saying that LSU softball s the new powerhouse in the state and the LA high school recruits are now wanting to go to LSU.

He didn't know what he was talking about. In fact UL just signed the player of the year in softball and the runner up.

Which we can all agree is laughable

And LSU signed the player of the year in Florida. Who cares? LSU won a national championship in track today. Who cares?

Yeah, I read some of "Earl's" posts. Pretty silly. I don't care much for Lotief, but he is a very good coach.

Personally, I thought the LSU softball team underachieved most of the year, then overachieved in post season play.

Baseball was the exact opposite. They overachieved during the year, and underachieved in post season play.

Stony Brook had an RPI rank of 86 heading into the NCAA selection process, despite going 46-11 ... with no wins against the RPI Top 100 (0-3 with all games being one-run losses on the road against East Carolina).

Another example of why winning is not emphasized in the RPI as much as it should ... and why schedule is over-emphasized.
