Crawfish Mascot?

A long jaw is a must on a crowd energizing mascot. Every little movement needs to grab your attention.

Long favored the Catahoula but now think that Zydeco the Bullgator is the best way to go. By far.

I like a live mascot. Either a Catahoula Hound that is trained to get the tee after a kick off. Also and inclosed area outside the stadium with two bull gator like it was said in another post. Also a trailer pulled by a tractor that has bars and and one big bull gator that can come unto the field before, during halftime and after the game....All of this would rais eyebrows in Louisiana and much of the US.....

A dog? Sure. Have him run the field? I'd prefer not running the risk of the dog leaving a memento on the turf.

If we ever went to the gator/ bull-gator as our mascot, "chomp" cheers would inevitably follow. NO TO THE GATOR AS OUR MASCOT!!

Really?... I've never heard of the catahoula hound being linked with louisiana. If I don't know... ( a resident of LA for 50+ years) , then how will people outside of LA get it.

God forbid we use the official state dog.
