In the 195? Sugar Bowl I thought the West Virginia Mountaineer was the coolest thing ever---I dressed as that for Mardi Gras that year and all asked if I was Davey Crocket and I said NO I was the WV Mountaineer!!! We could find a great Cajun guy to make this happen!!!!

Really?... I've never heard of the catahoula hound being linked with louisiana. If I don't know... ( a resident of LA for 50+ years) , then how will people outside of LA get it!...Bad Idea..Louisiana and crawfish... that's the key... no stupid toothless gator killers... . after they dropped the bulldog it was downhill from there.. the 'cajun chicken'.. come on man!... although he personally was good at rallying the crowds...... no association with the culture... Let's see some cool designs of 'crawdad' before we discount the Idea...

Long favored the Catahoula but now think that Zydeco the Bullgator is the best way to go. By far.

I like a live mascot. Either a Catahoula Hound that is trained to get the tee after a kick off. Also and inclosed area outside the stadium with two bull gator like it was said in another post. Also a trailer pulled by a tractor that has bars and and one big bull gator that can come unto the field before, during halftime and after the game....All of this would rais eyebrows in Louisiana and much of the US.....

A dog? Sure. Have him run the field? I'd prefer not running the risk of the dog leaving a memento on the turf.
