From my rounding off number days in grammar school------Attendance was 45K-----BTW the kick would have been good even with the curve that the ball was taking as the arc route would have been inside the goal posts and the distance was there for 5 extra yards!!! We are always 17K or above in enrollment and have a projected growth of over 20K students---Acadiana has over 1 million people and we are the largest Catholic University in America!!!

I remember a briiliant neckster making the comment that we would not travel well to the Independence Bowl. They did a bang up job for the Poinsetta huh? They are supporting thier team in Ruston tomorrow, with tailgating in RUSTON. Dykes' agent is busy right now....for that very reason...and in touch with Dooley's movers in case a fast exit is needed.

LSU alum and fan here just popping in to say congrats on the great win, Cajuns! I root for y'all often, unless of course you're lining up against LSU. I definitely found myself screaming for y'all on Saturday until the very end. It was nice seeing your fans excited and loud in the Superdome and even more, your team giving them every reason to be. Great win, again!

(Also, here's to hoping Bama's kickers aren't as good as yours!)

As I was leaving the Hyatt on Sunday I overheard one of our former lettermen say that as we lined up for the field goal, he looked up at the Superdome rafters and saw a rope dangling and being held by none other than Herbert Hymann, Alfred Lamson, J.Y. Foreman, Hardy Edminston, Shine Young, Sonny Roy, Irwin Sibille, Russ Faulkinberry, and Blackjack.

No wonder it went through.
