Whoever the next head coach is will definitely be getting a very late start in recruiting. I think it will be a tall order for someone to come in at this stage of the game and put together a strong recruiting class. Maybe the right guy can do it.

You don't have many kids to sign. Right now,the team needs a 3 and a 4/5. It can be done!

This team lost 5 seniors from this team alone and they lose another 5 this year. They need more than 3 recruits this year. However, it is not too late. The signing period begins April 15th if I'm not mistaken and this signing period is not like that of football. There are few recruits that sign this early in the period with the majority of them being the highly recruited guys going to the hierarchy in the collegiate basketball landscape. We have time but the hire does need to be made within the next week to 10 days before things start getting stressful. That hire, who hopefully has a good recruiting record and name, can go out and be successful with the amount of time left but they will need to hustle.

Who do we lose in fact. I know we lose Johnson, Wallace, Roberson, and Lago.

We also lost McCoy. Whether he finished the season or not, he's not going to be on the roster next season. However, Gary, Dison and Daigle are back but will be seniors along with Gradnigo, Bureau and Batiste and that's not even considering whether we lose out on the two guys that committed earlier in the season.

Didn't someone post that neither Gary nor Dison would play again due to the extent of their injuries?

It is thought to be a very solid possibility but nothing has been confirmed. It certainly seems that Gary, even if he does continue, will not be as explosive as he was and how limited he will be is unknown. Dison just can't seem to rid himself of the ankle issues and I don't know how likely he is to play next season.

Richard Justice from the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Bob Marlin has pulled his name from the UH search in order to accept the job at UL.
