The last word was that both were just waiting to see. Macdougald was pretty upset about Lee's firing but he didn't rule out coming here as he would have to sit out a year if he chose to seek a release from his LOI. Reese is probably a better shot at coming but it depends on how we spin the hire to both of them.

Remember, these guys are not 'committments'. They are 'signees'. If they don't come here, they can't go anywhere else for a year, even if we release them.

Both of these guys were excited about the chance to play for coach Lee and Dixon. We know Lee is gone. If Dixon isn't retained, I believe that both of those guys will look elsewhere, but it's impossible to really know.

It's really going to depend on two things: Will Marlin want to keep them and will they both still want to come here. Both guys are hearing from a number of other mid-major schools, so they're going to end up somewhere.

McDougald can become a legit combo guard in the Sun Belt. Reese didn't put up big numbers this season, but the athletic wing played on a team with five Division I signees that struggled offensively as a whole because players took too many ill-timed shots.
