_ Sounds simple but I will add; hire a coach that won't get the school in deep APR trouble like Robert Lee did. _

Jessie set the stage, Robert had to make chicken salad with what he had, losing Tiras and Oriene as wellas others didn't help, and bringin in JUCO kids that didn't finish only compounded the problem...point taken, but when the stage was set...you play the cards your delt.

Robert himself, as well as other assistants who left said....they would bring a kid in or "write"him up for skipping class and Jessie didn't hold their feet to the fire....wasn't Lee's fault....

_ Where would he go? Seriously, like T said, his resume was quite limited. Evans may have not been necessarily unethical or did things that were wrong, but his focus was not on graduating players. He took kids in that were risky at times. You are right, he did have some good kids as well and I'm not taking anything away from them. However, off the court Jessie did little to progress the program.

To be honest, its not even worth talking about. We're about to be looking into the rearview mirror at both Jesse Evans and Robert Lee. That's a good thing. Hopefully, in a few weeks, we'll all be discussing the excitement that surrounds the program with a good, quality hire. Hopefully. _

I liked Coach Lee's passion for the program and I thank him for that.
My opinion is that if UL is looking to go in a different direction with the basketball program it ought not look to anyone with ties to Evans, Fletcher or Lee. Start fresh.

Some were GREAT kids, several were fantastic and continue to be upstanding human beings....some questionable and tough....some players were so closely tied to the program you question why the head coach allowed them in the lockerroom, team buses, when he knew they were a cancer and medling in drug activity? One would think he would know better....so I stand corrected Not ALL were bad,......

If we can land Billy Kennedy, Gilly the Kid, Butch Pierre, or the coach over at SFA, I'll be incredibly happy and excited.

My questions is, does Robert Lee have an argument to stay since we decided to extend the contract of Ricky Bustle, even though he didn't produce like all of us wanted him to.

Doesn't it seem plausible that he could say "hey, why does this man get an extension when he doesn't perform, yet I am not retained when my performance was comparable to his?"

Lee was not fired. He just was not re-signed.

IMO Robert Lee is a class act.

Not saying it wasn't time for him to go or whatever based upon lack of performance of the program, but I don't see him going there.
