Yeah it looks that way doesn't it? Actually from what I saw the shift had less to do with the offense and more to do with our defensive co. dropping into a soft zone after we had taken the lead and control of the game, hat allowed your young quarterback to sit and take his time getting comfortable making play and totally took momentum away form us.

But hey, like I said it was a great game despite the outcome and for us it doesn't affect our years goal so hopefully it's a learning tool for all involved.

We all enjoyed it... and thanks for coming on here and giving us the feedback. It is very difficult to accomodate a "Superdome-like" crowd with our facilities. Despite the obvious pinches in concessions, seating, parking and the like... I thought it went down extremely well.

I guess I'm that kind of guy that plans as best I can... but will not allow inconvenience issues to get in the way of my good time. I pity those who can't do the same.

Before this interface "goes south" as these things seem prone to do, I want to say that I was excited about this game from Day 1 and I was elated with the crowd and atmosphere and, of course, with the outcome on the field. I hope all my Jag friends who attended managed to "pass a good time".

Whether we do it again is as we all know about the money but Southern fans cannot find a better road trip in terms of OOC games. The only thing close to a return trip to Cajun Field would be going back to the Dome against Tulane or to LSU and I have to ask what are the real chances for either of those?

We still have a couple of open spots on our 2011 schedule and then beyond that.

One thing I saw was the value of an opening home game vs. a winnable opponent. That cannot be overstated. This is what most BCS schools do to kick off their seasons with a win and to work out the early season bugs. Other than a good payday, it serves no good to do like ULM did with a 59-12 loss to Texas or WKU's huge loss to Tennessee, or FAU's big loss to Nebraska, etc. Next year, we open vs. Georgia on the road. I hope in future years, we find a way to open at home. I think this win vs. Southern will make a huge difference in our second game vs. K State and in our going to a bowl game this year.

    No way.

I predict 10-13 thousand less. In other words 28-31 thousand.

Which reminds me I need to go put this in the prediction thread.

    True, true.

Although I think if this were NFL TV-Land 31G+ would get a blackout lifted.

No, I do not. K State won't bring more than a couple of Ks at most and I am probably being generous.

I saw you guys played before only 26,500 at U-Hou in last year's opener on Aug 31st. but travel to Houston from Baton Rouge was surely affected by Gustav.
