You are correct sir, the years blur together sometimes. Anyway, we were just so stocked those 2 years, it was definitely an abundance of riches. Hopefully some of the new freshman coming in this year can duplicate what some of those guys did, or maybe Lackie can find his rhythm and become our next big time pitcher.
"I saw him last week at class-A Dunedin. He'll be at double-A in 10 days and in the majors by September," said another scout last weekend in Atlanta. "Most guys down there don't throw hard. He was 89-95 m.p.h. with a plus-slider. Hitters didn't have a chance -- right or left-handed."
Well, Danny did get promoted this week. Hopefully the scout is correct about him being in Toronto by September.

Was in Pensacola and saw that former Cajun Brent Solich is on the roster of the Pensacola Pelicans.
He is 1-1 with a 1.93 era in 5 games
Good little article about Lord Farquhar. And for all you people who get their panties in a bunch about the name of our university read the article.

He is a freak. He has 6 pitches at 3 different arm angles and throws 90+ from every angle. I watched him pitch Friday and was rusty, but that is expected from a guy with so much movement from so many different angles so early in the season. He is starting in AA this year but hopefully he can keep on track from last year and be in AAA mid summer.
Also former UL pitchers Jason Fernandez (Oakland) and Andrew Laughter (Rangers) finished in AA last year, Chad Beck (Toronto) High-A and all are playing this year and making noise on their way up in their teams systems. Lucroy will start in AA this year.
So is he an alien or is he Lord Farquhar?
Both
