IceGators returning ... to Blackham

_ Building isn't sealed well at all. I'm pretty sure it has some leaks and the some of the small windows at the top are broken or missing. I'm not sure if the Mudbugs addressed this but the place is a dump. Hopefully they can give it a good facelift! _

Broken windows, cracks, and leaks must all be fixed immediatly to have a "good" ice surface. This is a great opportunity to fix up the Blackham. It really is a good facility if a little TLC is put into it.

I would think that they could get the one from the Cajundome at a resonable price?

That system in the dome is there to stay.The floor atleast. The freezing unit can be moved. The rest is under concret.

If the Ice Gators are planning on playing in Blackham then someone is planning on spending money on the facility. Windows need to be replaced, the cooling system will have to be replaced or upgraded, and the "ice maker" will have to be installed. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Yes it should be interesting. I was surprised by how young the new owner is. If he is planing on sinking millions into Blackham for the IceGators he must be very confident that he is going to make it back ten fold. In the end the Cajuns will get a renovated Blackham. Sounds like a great deal for everyone.

What's interesting is Blackham may very well out live the Cajundome when it is all said and done. The Cajundome is in desperate need of a steady income stream. It was just a week or so ago that Greg Davis had to approach LCG for additional funds to carry the Cajundome over for the rest of the fiscal year.
