IceGators returning ... to Blackham

Possibly one of the reasons the Dome is in less than top shape is the usage at Blackham. Tear down Blackham, make it a parking lot for UL students and move all events to the Dome, by far the superior facility.

You can't put a rodeo in the Cajun Dome, nor should it be done. There are other events that cannot or should not be held in the Dome. Blackham is paid for, it is a source of revenue for this univeristy.

I agree. It's kind of a cash cow for the University. I know they are not an official university team, but I would be happy with it simply becoming the UL hockey teams arena.

Either way I'm excited about the return of the Icegators but I sure hope they do not use that logo!!!!

_ LOL! I don't like the human alligator breaking a stick. I know there is potential new merchandise to be sold with a new logo but that one stinks. I would imagine many old IceGator fans no longer have their jerseys and T-shirts or they can't fit in them anymore = - ). I would keep the old logos or quickly get a better one. _

I'm not saying I could do any better, they need the old stuff pronto! I'm thinking that they got the naming rights but not the logo. Maybe they thought just the name alone would get butts in the seats.

Maybe they should put a flaming vegetable like we have. Maybe a new potato with some crawfish dip on it.

Haha, Maybe a plate with fried Alligator on it. Now that's unique! NO one in the world will have that logo. We could have "Fried Freddy" skate around the rink in a golden brown batter suit, it will be awesome. I should be getting paid for these ideas. haha

All I know is that the gator in the new logo will be in Conseco's new book for sure!!!

Funny. The PETA people would be all over that one and the health food nuts also. A giant fried piece of alligator now that would be almost as terrible as the pepper.

That new logo is horrendous. If you are going to go with a new logo why not test this with fans on the website by way of a vote?

The rodeo has already been done in the Dome a couple of months back. It's doable.
