They could all catch if needed is all I'm saying. I agree the Cajuns still needed to get a portal catcher.

I am not sure how much the loss of Irvin will be for the Cajuns. The Cajuns are already thin at catcher so I hope that a portal pickup is made for a serviceable catcher. Power sticks are needed for the line-up. Harrington has a year to get her swing in shape in order to be an impact player for the Cajuns.

Make no mistake, United Fastpitch is not a "pipeline" to UL or any other program directly. Now, do we want to be an avenue for the specific young ladies that fit what the coaching staffs here are looking for, absolutely!!! However, we have many kids that UL is not the right fit and we help them find their fit also. We send kids off to many different schools (both D1 and others). What United IS, and will continue to be is an advocate for these young ladies (whether they play for me or not) to continue their education while being afforded the opportunity to play the game that they love at the next level. Be it at UL or any other program, it is more so about the fit for each individual athlete. I am just humbled and blessed to be a small part of their journeys.

I would like to think the young ladies from my program that have went on to play for the Ragin Cajuns have been , what I would consider successful and every one of the have been contributors as Freshman the day they stepped on campus. The exception to that being Chayne Allen, which by all accounts would have been on the field day 1 as a freshman as well had she not battled an injury the entire year.

So, we lost Irvin? Is that what all the post are about?

Looks like a mixture of that, no pitching coach, new verbal commitment, and some trolls throwing their two cents in.

A bunch of those guys came from Vermilion parish. Harrington, Beckett, Dehart, etc.

Maybe Foote would know why a coach hasn't been hired?

Irvin is still committed as per her X account. It might be best to leave this alone. I'm out, just wondering what all the fuss is about.

Not sure why you don't trust me that she decommitted. Her twitter account has removed committed to Louisiana softball. Go see for yourself. Also go check out her folks social media where they clearly says she has decommitted and isn't going to UL. I heard she may go to UCF, we will see where she ends up.
