Make no mistake, United Fastpitch is not a "pipeline" to UL or any other program directly. Now, do we want to be an avenue for the specific young ladies that fit what the coaching staffs here are looking for, absolutely!!! However, we have many kids that UL is not the right fit and we help them find their fit also. We send kids off to many different schools (both D1 and others). What United IS, and will continue to be is an advocate for these young ladies (whether they play for me or not) to continue their education while being afforded the opportunity to play the game that they love at the next level. Be it at UL or any other program, it is more so about the fit for each individual athlete. I am just humbled and blessed to be a small part of their journeys.
I would like to think the young ladies from my program that have went on to play for the Ragin Cajuns have been , what I would consider successful and every one of the have been contributors as Freshman the day they stepped on campus. The exception to that being Chayne Allen, which by all accounts would have been on the field day 1 as a freshman as well had she not battled an injury the entire year.
