Watched the end of that game with a HUGE smile on my face!! While we’re at it, CONGRATS to Duke for putting the COVID Chickens out of our misery!! We’ll probably have to wait til next weekend for Florida State to do us a solid with TT….

Is it an illegal pitch if the pitcher moves the foot that is not on the pitchers plate (the back foot) while taking the signs and does not begin delivery..., moved it, then set it again.

As of 1030pm last night 1003 players in the portal. This off-season will be wild with many players never playing ball again.

Wow, thanks for the update. Is that only D1?

If 325 teams at 25 each = 8125 total players...
If 2125 are seniors, then out of 6000, 1000 are in portal in first couple hours, 16 percent. Seems impossible to fathom.

Or does portal include d2, jc, etc??

It is a lot, but using your example it is only 3 + or - per D1 team.

Good point, but its just the first day or so?
Or are majority right away and not the same "growth rate" per week??

There will be more. Generally, players do not enter the portal until their season ends. Expect a few more now that 48 teams have been eliminated from the tournament, and a few more after the Super Regionals, fewer still more after the WCWS.

If there is a lot of coach movement, expect more players to chose to leave as well.

In any event, pretty much everyone going into the portal will be there within about 15 days after the WCWS.

That's why decisions by the Cajun coaches need to be made soon. They don't have 9 months to figure it out. I'm sure they're working very hard, researching all of the players in the portal and figuring out which ones can help the team get back to playing softball like Cajun fans are used to.
