Yes, agree. We had the team to make waves, big waves!

Is White injured? Can't imagine why else she didn't start or play.

Cathers can't catch every game. They should have won the game without her.

I thought postgraduate players could transfer any time.

They probably should have, but I don't think she would have dropped the ball on the tag at the plate.

  6. Ragin' Cajuns Softball: Cajuns Late-Game Push Spoiled by McNeese’s Timely Defensive Plays

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team had McNeese backed into a corner in the fifth and sixth innings with a chance to take the lead only to have the Cowgirls find the defensive play that preserved their 5-4 win on Tuesday, March 18 at Joe Miller Field at Cowgirl Diamond in Lake Charles.

Think you’re right, and Habetz was able to get a couple transfers due to different circumstances. But the overwhelming majority had already picked a new school or were closed out by the time she started.

Let’s be clear, though: to me, results of last few games should be unacceptable. They just aren’t getting it done right now, but they are better than this despite injuries.

Whoever said goal should be tournament bye and hope to win it is exactly right. Play hard and see what happens.

4 batters have 5 more HR than our entire team.

The pitchers are significantly better than what we have playing at the moment. Not saying someone like Wheeler won't develop. Just has a ways to go.

Add even just 1 pitcher and pick 2 position players and we're still maybe holding onto the top 25. Take away all 7, and you have this year's squad doing what they can.

Yeap it is just disheartening to see our beloved softball program in shambles. Let's hope the girls keep fighting and things turn around. We cannot lose the series to a decent ULM team this weekend.

Brutal, thanks Glasco. My love and joy for college sports is at a lifetime low. Could care less about March madness these days. I was really hoping the bat/ball sports wouldn't change too much, but that was naive thinking.
