Next year, we have Yobes Walker, Rob Walker, and Draylon Booker. If you put it as Walker, Walker & Booker, it sounds like a law firm. God, we've definitely got an abundance of riches at the RB position for the next 4 years. Sounds like we have our own version of Earth, Wind, and Fire. Sounds to me like Yobes is the Earth, Rob is the wind, and Draylon is the Fire.
I think that we've got one spot filled, now we see if someone can step into desormeaux and Chery's shoes.
I see Rob Walker being used alot like Chery. Returning kicks, swing passes, reverses, handoffs. He is the kind of player, like Chery, that you create ways to get the ball his in hands with space. I know we look at Scout rankings but Rivals ranks Robert Walker as the 43rd ranked all-purpose running back in the country and ranks him as a 3 star (for whatever the star system is worth). Great pickup for the Cajuns. Hey Cajun T, who's coming in this weekend for visits. I know we don't have many scholarships left but there seems to be several highly ranked players from Louisiana still undecided. With ULM and Tech at their limits, what are the chances the Cajuns could end up with several more big time players?
This is awesome! Had three visit that had already committed and two more visit and BOTH committed!
I am pumped!!!!!
In the end, Rob Walker kept with his word and decided he'll play college football in Acadiana.
Mamou High's all-state running back, who told The Daily Advertiser last week that he was "70 percent" sure he would commit on his official visit to UL, did just that on Sunday.
Walker became the 16th public commitment for the Cajuns in their 2009 recruiting class. He plans to sign a national letter of intent on National Signing Day, which is Feb. 4.

While you may be and hopefully are correct, I want to wait and see these guys play a year before I get all giddy. Remember Deon Wallace who would be considered our starter next year had he not quit? It happens often and I'm just hoping these guys can live up to the hype. If they do, I'm telling you that a 7 win season next year should be the expectation rather than the hope.
WHOOOHOOOO!
