Seems like a tall task when everyone else in the state has to recruit against LSU and the Government! What a team those two groups make. Unbelievable...
"Teepell said there is a paid internship slot in the Governor’s Office for a student-athlete typically selected by LSU football coach Les Miles."
How is this legal?
I remember reading an article a few years ago concerning Jeb Bush sending a text message to high profile recruit Myron Rolle. He ended up attending FSU, and I don't think anything came of the situation. The article did point out that there was no contact between Jindal and Randle. It should also be noted that Randle was on an unofficial visit and that his immediate family was also on the tour.
Good ole' boy network at it's finest.
I'm glad to see the Cheif of Staff (Jindal's top aide) earned his paycheck for the day. Nevermind the list of undone projects in the state that stretches a mile long. Or how we need to figure out a way to keep our college grads in state. Or maybe figure out a way to get more funds for road repairs. OR figure out a solution to the higher education money shortage. Nah Ruben Randle is much much more important than all of that. Glad to see my tax dollars hard at work. Keep up the good work Timmay!
Jindal could care less about sports. His only goal is to be President. This (Gov.) is only a stepping stone.
I hate to say, "Never", but I'll never vote for him again.
Looks like Jindal better start going to some more LSU games. The natives are getting restless.
Everyone in Higher Ed. should be restless.
Seems like the only time he's in Louisiana is to cut commercials saying how this State somehow will not be hurt by the recession, then proceeds to try to cut millions of dollars in Higher Ed. because of the State's shortfall.
Which is it?
Not to mention the Legislative pay raise chaos this past Summer.
Don't even get me started on how Jindal has spent the first 3/4 of his office not in the state that he is supposed to be in charge of. A stepping stone to the presidency? WHAT THE HELL HAS HE DONE? except cut funding from one of the most important resources of this state, education. I guess what I heard is true. He's very popular for not really doing anything at all.
Okay i'm off the soap box.
Exactly!
