_ Buffalo beat Ball State last night to win the MAC and go to a bowl game. Buffalo was the worse team in college football for a number of years and Turner Gill came in and turned things around in, I believe, 3-4 years. It can be done. UL still hasn't done anything in 7 years, but we are getting very close. Hopefully a bowl game this year. Next year, we could be better than this year. At least we had better be or we'll have a losing season. We should have too much talent for that. I want Bustle to succeed because that means UL succeeded. Success is not a one season wonder. We need to repeat next year and thereafter. This is our first major step. A bowl game and a win will do wonders for recruiting and local support. Next year will be the key to Bustle's future. I hope this year is the start of a long, successful tenure at UL for Bustle that sort of parallel's VA Tech's coach. _

Great post, I too would love to see Bustle and company be very successful at UL as this would as you said mean Louisiana has turned the corner and become a year in and year out mid major top contender!!! Next step would be a BCS bowl!!!???

I think UL will end up in Texas(Houston)! Due to location of $$$Houston Alumni and people relocated in Houston, and the history of the Cajun Travel Fans!! _

I want to play Tech with this UL team after what Drooley said earlier in the season about not wanting to lower themselves to the sunbelt level. Yes I know the comments were not directed towards UL but ULM and I'll take the side of ULM when it comes to the likes of La Neck claiming that they are above it. _

That is why they are keeping us out of the IBowl. Hope I'm wrong.

I am pretty sure that Drooley accepted the bid to the Indy Bowl on the verbal terms that the Indy would not invite a Belt team.

I still don't understand how a contract was signed with the belt, and the ruling by the NCAA was that a 6-6 sunbelt team must be taken over a 6-6 at large team if there are no 7-5's left.

If the contract stands then the Indy bowl's only chance of getting another team is Western Michigan. Even though we might miss a bowl, I would be laughing my ass off if Tech has to play them. You better watch what you wish for Tech!!!

That is not a bowl selection show. It's a bowl preview show. We will know before then whether we go bowling or not.

I've SEEN y'alls history of traveling to north louisiana, it aint pretty Boudreaux . . .
