Thread: Daily Advertiser is Actively Boycotting Louisiana

I gave up on the Advertiser some time back. I get the "Acadiana Advocate" online and read it each morning. One thing that kind of bothers me is they never have the story about a game until 2 days later if at all. For example, there was no mention of the game last night in today's e-edition of the advocate. There may be an article tomorrow (which may appear on the site sometimes today) but it will be in the e-edition (the one that reads like a newspaper) tomorrow, when it is no longer news but "olds." Still the fact there are articles about the Cajuns at all is better than the Sadvertiser.

The majority of the Advertiser's income comes from advertisers.

The majority of advertisers are business owners.

The majority of business owners in Acadiana attended Louisiana.

    The Advertiser is brain dead.
Why would any business spend money advertising in a nothing paper that nobody reads?

I can’t even begin to understand what their business model is?

And the majority of those businesses are TAF supporters.

I kept a copy of the DA from the day after the A&M win. Looking at it now, it looks like it is from another planet.

I had a guy sitting in front of me at the basketball game on Thursday checking the score of the lspooo women's basketball game. Come on, it is women's basketball.

He is not that over worked. From the email I received from him when I complained, the lack of UL coverage is a directive from his bosses. Don't expect anything to change

From the sports news cast in NOLA their women are outdrawing their men. At least in the first 5 rows. Reminded me of a UL-LoTec game I went to in the Marty era. After the women game their arena seating lost about 30% of their fans.

Yeah, but dare I say a majority of those business owners, even having gone to UL, send their money to LSU.
