If you are able to get Dr M to participate I think RR should skip the call-in segment & let MAT & his crew steer the conversation & ask the questions. No way he agrees if he thinks an ambush is waiting. The RR guys know the topics that need to be discussed. Keep it civil and you might have a chance.
No call is the right call.
It doesn't have to be calls and guests don't see the chat feature. Y'all can send questions in real time and we can drive the show accordingly.
No call ins is a good point. The first time RR (or any pod/media) in the sports market ambushes a university guest pretty much will be the death of any relationship with the university.
To be successful in this market size, it’s been proven you can’t go in guns a blazing.
Then again, if the university asks for a list of questions first, that’s a hard call on RR’s part.
“You should listen to podcasts not corporate radio, because corporate radio toes the party line, and wont dig deep and ask the tough questions and hold truth to power”- podcasters
“Well the podcasters finally got their big break and are now toeing the party line and holding back, just like they accuse us of doing, go figure”- corporate radio
