Covid is just convenient cover down the road, like the rest of CV’s list. They had zero engineering and plans at that point in time.

Know your too young to know about the RCC. Started mid 80’s. Had renderings of east side deck, etc., built the CF seating in the curves and no more infrastructure. RCC silently goes away, remains as premium seat charge.

Cajundome, needed an out of office EWE to put the deal together, which is why we have a dome. What looked promising at first is an albatross.

Even Russo park isn’t complete, still need locker rooms.

WE NEVER GET THE BIG THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
And plug the giant hole behind the lower seats so that the concession stand can’t be seen.

We charge the same as Florida State for tailgate spots while there’s come with all necessities and ours come with absolutely nothing. And the admin supporters are using this as an example of our price point being correct?!

Thursday I bought 2 tickets at the baseball box office: $20.
I tried to buy them online earlier in the day. $4.50 per ticket. Total after fees: $37.75. No problem when there’s 11K. When it’s a day like homecoming, it’s a pretty big deal not being able to buy before the game.

Link will get you to South Carolina taigating...stadium is a few miles from campus, just a huge parking lot, like what we deal with....have no idea how the costs compare.

Tailgate Concierge seems to cater to independant parking lots.

Lots of much ado about made up stuff. Amazing the lengths we will go through here just to be in a position to be a complaintant.

    I haven't seen a single complaint yet.

I've seen recommended areas that should be addressed and ideas to make things better.

In the end the idea is to Win the Event.

It starts with identifying areas of strength now and in the past and seeing how the positive can be enhanced upon and the negative diminished and replaced.

On price, we are at the right price point if they can overcome the Lafayette Little Brother attitude. Parking next to the stadium at Southeastern (like ours inside the fence) is $25 per game. Tailgate spot at Florida State is $500 per year for a basic spot (comes turnkey with tent, chairs, & ice chest). Good luck parking anywhere near the stadium at Florida State without a parking pass. Even their tailgate area charges $35 a person to enter. However, UL can offer everything for free and the Lafayette people will still find a BS excuse to stay home.
But who enabled the people of Lafayette to complain?

When you have previous administrations giving away free things for decades at a time before slapping expensive price tags out of nowhere for amenities like tailgating, people are going to naturally throw their hands up and complain. That’s why the messaging needs to be clear. Explain to the fans WHY prices are going up. Shock and Awe will always backfire in instances like this.

Free parking across the street is a prime example.
