I’ve noticed that we came out last night and went after a lot of first pitches. I know there’s a prevailing school of thought that says to work a pitcher’s pitch count, but I felt like we did that too much in previous years and ended up with a ton of 0-2 counts and wildly chasing strike 3s. I’d much rather us square a ball up early in the count and let the chips fall where they may.

I was happy to see Brock getting paid back for a lot of loud outs he has suffered through this season. He’s barreling up fastballs.
