I’ve noticed that we came out last night and went after a lot of first pitches. I know there’s a prevailing school of thought that says to work a pitcher’s pitch count, but I felt like we did that too much in previous years and ended up with a ton of 0-2 counts and wildly chasing strike 3s. I’d much rather us square a ball up early in the count and let the chips fall where they may.

…..That foul ball blast to right field was a space shot…..was it not fair by much? The double play by DeBarge was like watching a dancer change steps……,we forget about the 2 warning tract blasts by the Cajuns with one a great save by the CF of USM…..Boudin today!

I was happy to see Brock getting paid back for a lot of loud outs he has suffered through this season. He’s barreling up fastballs.

I’m quickly developing a man crush on Debarge. He is just straight up filthy in the field

If we can get to first base we have a chance. The speed tool will create 2-3 runs a game the way Deggs runs the offense. In my opinion striking out is as bad as our pitchers giving free baserunners. If our hitters walk thats as good as a double. If we can develop controlled aggression at the plate we will score some runs and be in almost every game. Yes, baseball will happen…but if we find a way to get on the bases we will win some games.
