Well i read where the guy said kids never get sent to JU Co to get more reps and then brought back to that same school. I think he said it’s as common as a unicorn. It happened with Brenn Conrad and another kid who is at LSUE is committed to come back from what Ive seen. This takes place often at many bigger programs. May not happen here as much because kids get discovered by the big boys in Ju CO. See Charlie Babineaux for example.
He may be a super guy but anyones who’s user name is what it is because his son pitched 18 years ago is obviously still living in his sons glory.
Stevie P’s show was the worst thing on 1420 for many years until they gave Norman Locke a microphone. IMO
I guess I should change my 19 year old username because someone disapproves?
EDIT: Not defending my username, because I don't need to, but if you need to know it's origin, I'll tell you. It's the same username I used on a very large high school baseball message board when my son went through college recruiting, like literally hundreds of thousands of high school students every year. It's a high school class year and helped readers on that board understand my frame of reference. I kept the same username here, so anybody from there could find me here.
I was lucky enough to promote UL baseball, using the same avatar, on the hsbaseballweb.com for several years and gladly fielded questions about the program whenever asked. That time has passed.
I can easily count on one hand the number of times I've even acknowledged a mention of my son's athletic experience here. He was just one of literally dozens of players during his time here, which ended a long, long time ago. He was lucky enough be teammates with excellent players and people like Moody, Lucroy, Farquhar, Coker, Robichaux and a bunch more talented players than he was. He was also blessed enough to play for the best human being to ever coach baseball, or any sport .
I had a link to his roster page on my profile when he was on the roster, but deleted it when he graduated, I dunno maybe 14 years ago. However, we've been able to form relationships around the program that will last a lifetime.
I can honestly say members of this board have been nothing but gracious and supportive as long as I've been here, which means a lot.
If you or anyone, wants to hate on me, cancel me, that's fine. I can't stop you, but I can't start caring either. I wish nobody here or anywhere ill will. I'm 64 and simply don't care.
Peace.
Mr. Bapier, it doesn't sound like you know Mr. Dad personally. If you do not, you are extrapolating to an extreme position with very little information available to you. Wars have started, buildings have collapsed, and marriages ended under just such circumstances. I've been here for over 15 years, and I believe Mr. Dad has been here about that long, if not longer. Many/most of us do not change our names even with changed circumstances. I did not, and I haven't lived in Covington for a decade. To draw any type of conclusion from just a person's handle is setting yourself up for making invalid assumptions.Originally Posted by NillyBapier

All the hate from this guy on Dad04...on his user name...from a guy who is obviously making a weak attempt to attach himself to something elite with the "NillyBapier". Playfully switch a couple of letters up, but still wanting someone to notice his handle by the play on the Billy Napier name.
As stated by MANY on this board, Dad04 and his family are some of the finest people around, not to mention HUGE supporters and promoters of our school and baseball program. In addition to their fine character, I would go so far as to say Mr. Dad04's baseball IQ and knowledge would put most of us to shame. And to say he is "living vicariously through his son" is a laughable offense. When you have the type of career and success that his son achieved, you don't have to TALK about it, people KNOW about it. When you were a dude, people know you're a dude and no introductions are needed. Maybe brush up on your program history. There is a reason so many on this board have let you know the same.
If NillyBapier wants to critique the baseball team and performance, go right ahead. But to critique one of the first families of this program, you may need to go elsewhere. Maybe over to the Florida message boards.
