And until something like that happens the number of wins won't matter. The strength of schedule otherwise just isn't there. This year a 19 point loss to a 5-7 Texas team didn't help. Throw in struggle wins against Nichols and ULM that weren't a positive either.

Not one single voter looked at the point totals in the loss to Texas, 14 games ago.

What they did do, and did say to themselves (since it has been so public) is that this team is a shell of what it was.

Louisiana was penalized. for something that happened in ITs offseason while the season felt like it was still going on.

But wait, didn't having our coach being in the public eye and going to Florida and possibly being on the LSU list of coaches move us up a few places? I thought the fact that Coach Napier was on LSU's list and Florida meant we would be #10.

Man it was a good thing he was taken by Florida and possibly in LSU's final list. If not we might not even be in the top 25.

Nope. Went thru the ballots, several midwestern voters are bias against Marshall, so in their eyes we beat a ____ty team. We’re lucky UH didn’t jump up, 4 votes behind us.

Turbine is right. Last year we played after Christmas. This year, first weekend and forgotten.
