Exactly. I don’t think he will take the Arkansas job unless the money is insane. That job is going to be a rebuild from the ground up. Arkansas is at a major crossroads right now, and it’s at a time when LSU, Bama and Auburn are all strong. Any coach they hire might not even have a winning season until year 3. I would love to be a fly on the wall during contract negotiations.

I hate to even consider Napier leaving at this point. But just to respond to some of y'all comments please remember coach was all but expected to the the head coach at Arizona st before the President hired a buddy in herm Edwards. Napier has the background every AD is looking for. His being a HC for only 2 years will not keep anyone away if they are interested. There is a difference in if someone will offer and if they should offer. Also let it be said. Doesn't mean coach would want a job at a school in a desperate dumpster fire situation.

It’s hard for me to see a scenario where he leaves this year. Coaching is a strike while the irons hot job no doubt, but he’s got to know that if he stays with what’s coming back next year, he should have a shot at running the table. Then he could be much more selective about where he landed with a nice payday too. I definitely don’t think he would take the Arkansas job unless he’s ready to quit coaching all together.

Arkansas isn't a career killer. Success there in short to intermediate time could be.500 which is absolutely possible. It's a possible spring board.
