This is not a knock on Napier. just a simple declaration of fact. There are too many coaches with four plus years experience that have put together impressive resumes over that time.
    Freeze and Malzahn say hello.

    Yep. Thinking the same.

I understand. However, these were very much the exception, and both Ol' Miss and Auburn had deep pockets. Would also like to know what their buyouts were comporable to Napier's. Arkansas spent a lot of money buying out Jones, though they have now suspended payments, and owe another boatload to the guy they just fired.

In addition, Malzahn was supposed to be some offensive guru and Freeze had connections with Ol' Miss.

I also overstated my case.... I should have said it was highly unlikely.

I always avoid absolutes.... well, almost aways.

I would think App State would have more to worry about with their coach having ties to Arkansas. The big money people want Malzhan, but I don’t think he would take it unless the money was astronomical. Any coach who goes there is gonna need a minimum of 4-5 years to build a winner, and the people of Arkansas are short on patience right now.
    Not yet...

FYI, Hud is 7-3 in his first year at APU. He has 2 top 20 wins vs Jacksonville State #11 at the time and SEMO #20 at the time. And they are sitting on top of the Ohio Valley Conference

I have family that are season tickets holders for Arkansas, have been for several generations. Their big money people are delusional at best, they are currently on the hook for $28M for Bielema and Morris. Auburn has more money than Arkansas, if they would want to keep Malzahn they have the money to match and then some. Right now they probably couldn't outbid Memphis for Norvell because that have money to match them as well. Their best shot is the App. State coach and that would make sense with his ties to the program.
