I like the talent we will have on the team next year, but we do the same thing every year. We hype these guys up so much, then soon as they do not play up to the standards ragin pagin sets, we bash them. I say let them play then praise them.

Ok, I can guarantee that he will not play the 3 position for UL. He was the Center on his team in HS, yes he can step out and shoot the three, but his ball handling skills and being a consistent 3 point threat is not of a guard or 3 man. He will be at the 4 position for us. Marquetti was a 3 man for us. Julien is no where close to Marquetti when it comes to the guard position.

Really? I'll take that bet. I'm not saying he won't move the PF at times in a smaller lineup but I guarantee you he starts on the wing as our 3. I'm not really sure what being a center on your HS team has to do with it. Where you translate at the next level often has little to nothing to do where you play in HS. You could be 6'2" on your HS team and play center to go play SG in college. The main difference he'll see in college is on the defensive end. Even at Center in HS, he was matched up with guys his size or smaller. At PF or C, he would be undersized against just about any team out there. I love the 3 point shot line being moved back. Hopefully the return to a traditional big man/center will return .. The college game should benefit.

Then there’s the problem of not enough bigs to go around. The improved 3 point shooters have in fact made more teams highly competitive.
