And Deggs does not have the skins on the wall like Coach Robe and he should not because he has only been a HC for 5 years counting this year. But he already does have a super regional under his belt. And Coach Robe only has 1 cws appearance in like 30 years as a college coach. So do not act like he has been to several CWS!
Deggs was coming away from being an integral part of that 2014 team and recruited to that. Let’s see if he can sustain it for 10 years much less 25. Tony had a super and CWS in his first five years here and didn’t inherit a great situation.

I guess I do not fall into the Homer group even though I graduated and a fan. If I would not be a fan I would not care about the current situation!

You fall in a group, but to post it here would result in censorship.

I believe you called us homers as a derogatory term to start. If you want to join us as homers you are welcome.

So based on your comment it seems like you do not have a lot of faith in this situation of getting it turned around.

And if so, why, if you do not mine me asking.

And by no means of me asking you this is me thinking you are a Debbie downer!

The situation will get better when recruiting takes a new direction, gets fixed. There is no indication that has happened. It may be fixed and we just don't know yet. The offense is being fixed and now the pitching staff needs fixing.

If JT is still recruiting pitchers like the ones we've signed lately, then it is more of the same. Robe and Freeman are good pitching coaches, but they are not magicians. Since Robe and Freeman are good at what they do, it's not a coaching issue, but a talent issue. If you listen to Robe post game it's always the same, can't pitch in their lanes, coach speak for lack of command, talent.

It's like any other multi-system operation. You need each system to function, or the whole thing just sputters, like we doing now.

Deggs came in early 2012 and fixed the offense, recruited some horses and we were off to the races. Is recruiting fixed yet? I don't know. I'm just trying to be realistic. I hope it's fixed, but who knows.
