So based on your comment it seems like you do not have a lot of faith in this situation of getting it turned around.

And if so, why, if you do not mine me asking.

And by no means of me asking you this is me thinking you are a Debbie downer!

The situation will get better when recruiting takes a new direction, gets fixed. There is no indication that has happened. It may be fixed and we just don't know yet. The offense is being fixed and now the pitching staff needs fixing.

If JT is still recruiting pitchers like the ones we've signed lately, then it is more of the same. Robe and Freeman are good pitching coaches, but they are not magicians. Since Robe and Freeman are good at what they do, it's not a coaching issue, but a talent issue. If you listen to Robe post game it's always the same, can't pitch in their lanes, coach speak for lack of command, talent.

It's like any other multi-system operation. You need each system to function, or the whole thing just sputters, like we doing now.

Deggs came in early 2012 and fixed the offense, recruited some horses and we were off to the races. Is recruiting fixed yet? I don't know. I'm just trying to be realistic. I hope it's fixed, but who knows.

I agree, I think it is more of a talent issue than anything else. I doubt we have may players on the current roster that will be drafted before the top 20-30 rounds!

But for so reason he is letting this go on!

It is talent. The mentality excuse is just that. Not worried about getting hurt by the draft anytime soon. I'm not even sure Lott gets picked this year.

He inherited a damn good team. The programs problems were not on the field.

And my comment of not knowing anything is I am not a baseball coach but you do not have to be a baseball coach to see the crap that is going on. New stadium, missing regional two years in a row and a current losing record with almost 2/3 of the season gone. So ole wise one tell me what you know about baseball? Homer type idiot fans like you are what the problem is! We cannot replace the coach. Did this 10 years ago and most of all that is important is he is my BFF.

So let me ask you this ole wise ball coach, would you rather have Deggs and his staff or Tony and his staff coaching your team today?
I don't yet trust Degg's to maintain for 20+ years.

His personal message is one of redemption, I'm not so sure how well that translates the farther the age gap between him and his players become.

Which is why I said situation not team, my brother played for Boulanger. Matt deggs inherited a team from David pierce who is now at Texas via Tulane and went to Omaha last year. It’s not like deggs walked into some major rebuild. SHSU was 44-19 the year before deggs took over.

Comparing with the landscape of college baseball when Tony took over in the 90s vs Deggs in 2015 is ridiculous. You can't draw a single conclusion good or bad from that.
