Badly bruised tailbone was the main issue according to post game comments. Not sure how long it takes to recover from that. He came back in with 9 minutes to go in the second half once Cajuns were down 17. I did not understand that decision as why risk further injury in a game that was out of hand. Perhaps it was his call as his mother was in town from Georgia.
They shouldn't but it appears that is where our team is this year. A conference title would be great and show a great deal of improvement from this point to then but it appears that we will be relying on the conference tournament to gauge how successful we were this year.
Next year's recruiting class is pretty much done. Includes three HS signees from the November period and one transfer. Also, a highly thought of freshman is being redshirted due to an injury from HS. One of the recently signed HS guys is rated top player in state. They need to bring in a quality inside player as well during the spring. No way at this stage to know if any of those will be stars although I would not be surprised if the transfer is newcomer of year in SBC next season.
Agree that much of future of program will ride on all these newcomers. Very understandable to be concerned about next season at this stage as so many of the guys which will be relied upon will be freshman.
Troy won at wku today!!! Chaulk one up for the lowley sunbelt.
