So, you're telling me, in general, there is no difference between the "A" student and the "C" student. I certainly agree that grades are not the only consideration, but they are part of it. And, as an employer, I would want to know that the grade was based in part on sports attendance.
Here's a couple of more reasons why attendance was low...IMO:
1.Labor Day weekend. Lots of people went away for the weekend.
2.FCS. I don't care who the FCS opponent is, it's still FCS. Hard to get excited.

Grades certainly matter, but a very successful business man once told me that he would much prefer to hire an average student that had social skills and got involved in various school activities, rather than a straight A student that did nothing but keep their nose knee deep in books all the time and did very little else.
I was looking through some box scores for fun. I noticed we outdrew rice vs Houston at rice. They had 26 and change. The schools are like 2 miles apart. I guess Houston fan don’t travel well😂
