It stopped raining around 3:00 and never rained a drop during or after the game until early morning. I know because I live in the shadow of the stadium. Great weather for a game. cool and calm......so if you don't come to the game because of rain, that was a poor excuse.

I drove around the Cajun dome and talked to a few Grambling fans. While doing so they had a few Southern fans there also. Took a few pictures of the east side. It was full for the most part. But at half time after Grambling band left the field the students started to leave. about half left. At game ending you may have had a quarter of the Grambling fans that left at the end of the forth quarter, but 8/10 of the students were gone.........the team had a few on the railing to greet them.

You say it was raining for almost half the game? Well I set under the upper deck over hang so I felt nothing nor saw any rain. I don't call a mist a rain. Didn't see anyone leaving their seats or cover up. But I take you word if you say so.......

Speaking as one that was not under cover, I can assure you that it was a light rain, but a light rain for most of the first half.

It was a very light drizzle for most of the first quarter. After that it was about as pleasant as it could be for an early September football game in south Louisiana.

It wasn’t raining hard enough for the masses to seek cover, but it was raining for the at least the first 10 minutes of the first quarter. Given the weather, the fact that there were so many fans there was awesome. I was skeptical around 3 pm with all the rain, but it ended up being a great turnout.

It was definitely raining during our first drive of the game... It slacked off pretty shortly after that. I do agree that not coming because of a little rain is a poor excuse.

On the Grambling side, it was packed and it looked like they were wearing ponchos.... Our fanbase needs to toughen up.

There were around 20k UL fans out of that 28.8k in attendance...I’d say that’s damn tough for a SBC school facing a SWAC team...

During a Louisiana summer I’ll take a light rain over sunshine any day. The early downpours and the gametime forecasts probably kept a lot of people at home yesterday but I selfishly enjoyed not sitting in an oven for 3 hours.

Just read an article about the dropping of attendance at college football games. Out of 100+ schools reporting their attendance, it was reported that the scanned count was about 50% lower than the reported attendance. Now that a real discrepancy. It was reported that Michigan reports in their figures the security, band, concession workers, etc. in their count. It was also report that only one college report the actual count, that's Navy. They use turnstiles only and the AD said that they report actual butts in seats and not no shows.....so what does UL do in this respect. Got this report off my I-phone news app.......
