I just caught BOP talking with someone (I think it was Gerald Hebert) during the baseball game today, and they announced that they're going to start on the field this next week and will have the new turf in by July. WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

That was Scot Farmer. Contractor will be starting Thursday and be finished July 1. We will see.

Well, it's the first definitive statement we've had on the issue and I'm willing to trust SF's word at this point.

Got from a higher up, the field is FIELD TURF, the work starts the 17th and they are also going to have to widen the entrance to Tunnel for dump trucks to manuever in and out of field.

I do not revel my sources unless they say it is ok. I did not ask him so I will not divulge his name at this time. All I can say, he is well connected with athletic department.
