Lott was the opening day DH. Struggled.
Stolke should be available this weekend
Doesn’t think handsome will redshirt. He’s currently swinging. But not running yet
No decision on what schmittys role will be next week just yet. There are several possibilities.
everyone in the dugout was happy for Dmo.

The lack of answers (and flat out unwillingness to talk about him) on Lott is very very troubling.. and frustrating.

Lack of follow up is an issue, too. "Not hitting well? Oh. OK, then. Thanks."

If he finishes the year 0 for 13, I won't expect him back.

I don't expect Bab to blast a kid.............or JT for that matter.

As far as Lott goes, from what I have seen....It appears he just really doesn't care one way or the other. Zero emotion or passion. Basically, the opposite of LaHare. That may just be his personality. I don't know.

Dropped both of those subjects like a hot potato right out of the oven. Understand the JT subject, but would have liked to hear a little color on what they may be doing to try to get Lott back in the lineup.

The fact of the matter is that the "hitters" in the 1B and DH holes need to be producing (hitting above .300, slugging in the .500 - .550 range and OB in the .400 - .450 range) and for all practical purposes we have gotten little from each spot. This is a kid that was hoped to be in one of those positions.

Well, we can only guess when those that know are silent.

Good point on 1B and DH. I would add 3B to the problem list. No offensive production. Worst in years.

Windham seems like he may be getting it together

I agree with experience Windham will keep improving offensively overall. He is really good defensively already.

From the people I have talked to, I have not gotten any indication that Todd Lott doesn't care. He has a more quiet and laid back personality. Teams are always made up of different personalities. You can't have 35 Jace Conrads because they will all end up in the hospital at some point from fighting each other. It would be completely dysfunctional.

It's great to have guys like Lahare who provide a lot of energy and emotion. But you need guys like Joe Robbins, Kasuls, and Joe Burk who can keep calm and cool to balance things out in my opinion.

I think so too. They will continue to improve. The universally slow start at the plate was (past tense) historic. They have raised BA 40 points in the past 10 days. Similar improvement will take three weeks at the same rate., and that's only another dozen games, or half way through the season.

They have some nice wins, Vandy, LSU, but I think this team's best days are looking out over the hood.
