Definitely not. I think we should have red-shirted Fuse, and played him in the slot exclusively. I also agree with Basinbear that Riles could have also been our power RB last season when we tried to force Eli into that role. That would have gotten Riles (who is one of my favorites, the dude is a warrior) more touches. And opened the slot up to Fuse as well as the other talents. Again, I don't know if Fuse didn't have it or not, but I think given that nobody but Riles and Eli have done much in this offense the last two years I think it's at least reasonable that scheme is part of the problem.

I'm always amazed by how people can't just skip threads they don't like. It's not like anyone is making anybody read a particular thread. If a person has read more than they want about a subject, just stop clicking. It's really pretty simple.

Well I had Cole Beasley starting on my fantasy team last night, so when I saw his name on the title I thought someone was about to give me some fantasy insight....low and behold it was was another Gabe thread...but don't mind me I am just bitter because I started Beasley and he only gave me 5 Points.....

That's exactly what they want to do. Same thing happened with Haack. Player isn't what we hoped he would be, blame it on Hud.

We seem to have a lot of players who aren't what we thought they would be. Remind me again, who picks the players? Who decides who to redshirt and who not to? Who is responsible for player development?

Our offense has been a joke for 2 years. Are we just incredibly unlucky in the number of players we recruited that just aren't that good?

    Honest question:

Name an offensive skill player who's play improved during his 4 years with HUD?

    Harris maybe?

But Gabe was never meant to be running streaks all game long on the outside, and that we did that to him was a gross misuse of his talent.
Al Riles isn't even half the receiver Harry Peoples was. And that isn't even a knock on Riles as a player, because it isn't his fault. It's the offense. The one where Harry Peoples ate like a damn king so much that when we lost him in that road game at North Texas on a mid week...it killed the offense. We are so far removed from that offense it's damn silly. I don't blame Fuselier 100% for his shortcomings here. But I'm not going to lay 100% of the blame on Hud and his Crowley offense (suck it Pios). McGuire has been categorically misused for well over 2 years...and has still produced in spite of it. Even Riles has performed admirably in an offense meant to be run by 5 foot tall 16 year old's. Column A...Column B. It's a ____ty offense, but sometimes you have to make chicken salad out of chicken ____. It's not always going to be the best situation possible...you gotta work with the hand you are dealt.
