I see. Well, maybe he can keep it together as this is most likely his last chance at some type of college career. How about you guys win your conference next year and our teams meet to battle in March? How cool would that be!?

Now you talking. Thanks for the info/scoop at least we won't be blindsided and if we are lucky he learned his lesson. See you in March 2009

    HEY GUYS!!!

You really think Lee doesn't know this kids history? He won't be blindsided. You think Adiefe doesn't know what obstacles stand in his way? He knows Barr, and Ferguson provide some serious competition next year. If he doesnt, shame on him for not doing his homework.

By the way, Lee is feeling heat for sure, but he will be back next year. No AD in their right mind wouldn't give a guy one more year to work with the talent we have, plus the big guys coming in next year.

    L'te'

PS Anyone remember how we use to beat the crap out of Lon Krueger when he coached at UTPA?

I am mad at the guy. Or maybe just upset about the opportunity he blew here. We went to the sweet 16 last year and I remember sitting in the first practice watching him and the rest of the team and thinking, "rebuilding year MY _____, we're going back." We still might make it back to the big dance, but we just don't have any inside presence and we get out rebounded every game. He could have and WOULD have been that for us. There was no one here competing for his spot and I just can't fathom why he developed the attitude and snapped at the first game like that.

After all that, though, I do hope he does well for you guys. He should look at Joel Anthony as an example. He was not even a starter for us last year. Came off the bench and worked hard; never complained about minutes, just gave everything he had every minute in practice and every play in the game. He made the Heat's final roster this year and now Shaq is showing him around Miami and buying him suits.

I think many of these kids have maturity problems. The staff clearly understands the situation, and are willing to take the risk. We never know what these kids have been told by coaching staffs to get their signatures on a letter of intent.

Lon Kruger is the coach, he can determine if he wants an athlete in his program or not. I can assure you it won't be the last time Kruger runs an athlete out of his program. As for UNLV, they are not above dealing with their own problem athletes. In the end, it's really none of UNLV's fans or staff's business, he has been released.

I don't think the UNLV guy was here to start trouble. He was just warning us. That being said, I expect Adeife to toe the line here as this is his last chance. If he does not toe the line he will be run off with no future. As a previous poster said, he also will have competition. One thing about a transfer is that you get to judge how he fits in by the year he sits out. Adeife should be practicing with our team when the spring semester starts in mid January. If he does not toe the line during that time, he does not have to be invited back in the fall. We had a guy named Marquis Cooke go through that a couple of years back. When he did not do what was expected in the spring, he was not here in September. Coach Lee will only keep him if he toes the line. One thing that is encouraging is the guy apparently has ability.
