Buddy Glass and the Ragin' Cajuns are ranked No. 19 in the CSTV.com Fall Top 25 Poll.
LOUISIANA - With Louisiana's annual Vermilion-White Fall World Series around the corner, the preseason honors keep rolling in for the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team as the 2007 Sun Belt Conference Regular Season champions were tabbed No. 19 in the CSTV.com Fall Top 25 poll Friday.
Last month, Rivals.com listed Louisiana's weekend rotation as one of the best in the nation - a rotation that includes three seniors (Buddy Glass, Hunter Moody, Brent Solich) and one junior (Danny Farquhar). The Cajuns were also featured in the Rivals.com Pre-Fall Top 25 rankings and were the only Sun Belt Conference school on the list.
Rice University, one of Louisiana's opponents in 2008, was ranked No. 9 by CSTV.com a season after losing in the College World Series.
According to the release, "the Ragin' Cajuns will look to continue their success in 2008, after nearly hosting a Regional in 2007. Head coach Tony Robichaux loses his top two hitters, but the pitching staff is loaded with talent, including Danny Farquhar at the forefront."
Game one of UL's Red-White Fall World Series is slated for a 6:30 p.m. start on Thursday, Nov. 1. All games will be held at Tigue Moore Field.

Is it baseball season yet?
I wonder if they are talking about this in Baton Rouge. I bet they wish they had a college baseball team.
