With UL's annual Red-White Fall World Series scheduled to begin on Thursday, the Ragin' Cajun baseball team was picked in its second preseason top 25 poll on Friday. The Cajuns were picked No. 19 in the CSTV.com fall poll, the only state team and the only Sun Belt Conference team picked in the top 25 or among the five others receiving votes. In September, the Rivals.com poll listed UL among its pre-fall top 25 teams, again the only state or Sun Belt team ranked. That poll did not rank teams, but only listed 25 in alphabetical order. Ditto. Can't we just enjoy who we are? And that is the best team in LA and one of the best in the nation in both spring sports. Show a little independence people, be proud to say we are UL. Our success does not depend on things to the east.
