This is our camp in Mississippi, not a joint camp with a P5 in Louisiana from say Mississppi or MSU.

This is also not a new age idea or trend. It just gets more press now than it did in the days of Marcus Dupree who were recruited in 8th grade and had coaches from Texas and OU on staff responsible for his recruitment alone. Matter of fact, they both had coaches that were holed up in a local hotel for the better part of a month when signing day was approaching just to stay in front of him and talk everyday. Offering young athletes is not a new thing although it is likely more magnified these days.

Well you guys wouldn't be happy with Futbol.......

Almost every major pro team around the world has an extensive youth academy with kids living, training & playing for an "Academy team" within the organization as young as 11 years old. I'd venture to guess there isn't an MLS club or European League team that doesn't have an extensive program for kids starting at ages 14 or 15.

Heck my daughter played high school soccer against a 16 year old who is working out for the U.S. National team. They currently have a 17 year old on the roster.

Don't even get me started on gymnastics.

With all the above said I don't agree with a lot of our practices in youth sports but this isn't unprecedented.

Take the case of Mark Vital (http://247sports.com/Player/Mark-Vital-25530) Baylor offered and had his committment when he was in middle school.

I'm pretty sure Tony has offered at least 2 of his players at a very young age

Putting this sort of crap in the head of a 14-year old is the reason why Tony has to spend so much time and effort re-educating athletes when they get here. Hud and others that do this are creating their own problems.
