The problem is that most people are not paying attention. They don't know to be embarrassed. I have chosen to boycott the rest of the season. If enough people stay home maybe they will move the games to Earl K. Long. I bet that would get Joe's attention.

Boomer he is right, Bobby Big Fish ain't the coach that will get us back to even Jessie Evans type teams. IMO he has had plenty of time to demnistrate what kind of program we will be, average to below average.

Meanwhile our biggest instate rival has gone through 2 coach and are head and shoulders better than us as a program. When you hire the right guy you know you have the right guy.

I understand the money games. Those games are usually winnable as much as our trip to UGA to be served up as homecoming fodder next fall. That said...

Last night for a period of time against UNO, we looked like McNeese last week. When a single UNO 5'8" poppa smurf looking guy (#5) comes in among three of our bigs and comes down with the ball...really??? Block out 101. Blown fast breaks last night. Twice we had what looked like sure thrown downs. Nope. One was stripped from JH, the other never got a shot off. Air (the player formerly known as Cash) finally made 2 big shots after what, 8 clunks? And coach was talking post game about how he is one of our better shooters? God save the queen.

We're in the Sunbelt, a once strong basketball league which now is an automatic bid only league, and will be seeded between 12 and 16. That can only be fixed by all the SBC teams. Little Rock is going all in on basketball after years. Wonder what took them so long?

On the "bright" side, in the first half we got a look at next year. Ugh...

So to answer your question, it seems to be no from those that make that call.

The problem Boomer is your blind loyalty to mediocre UL coaches actually hurts the programs. They just languish in mediocrity losing the non antique fans. Death, sickness, and job opportunities take the rest. Hope you enjoy a base attendance we used to tease UNO about.

Just keep on pretending we're only one player away.

That guy boycotting is actually doing more to help the program than you. You're the do nothing administration perfect dupe.

Bob Marlin was a very good and highly regarded coach when he got here. He was tops of the league he recruited too year in and year out. He beat Kentucky with a team at Sam Houston st. Maybe it's this jinxed university that turns good coaches into mediocre ones.

Same thing for coach HUD. Came in here with a great overall record as a head coach. A WINNER. For four years he over came the jinx and won 9 games. This year history caught up with him and he could not over come the long time jinx of Cajun athletics.

All that said his tenure here mixed. Mostly bad. He's currently under .500 against 1A competition. If that's not the definition of mediocre what is?

He's never won regular season championship.
He's been in the final once I think and won it
Never finished second in the regular season.

Year six. You really expecting better? You can sit with Boomer and watch your base destroyed, but by God you support your coach.

I don't necessarily support the coach. I support the kids who are generally giving good effort. Now, If I lived out of the area like Express does, I certainly would have reservations about coming over frequently.

Again you're right Mike. Support of the players who we recruited is a good thing.

I'm just saying that support is not distinguished from coach support by FarmerBROWN. Frankly I don't trust the administration to do a better hire. So there's that too.

Keep in mind that guys like Kasey Shepherd, Bryce Washington, Jonathon Stove, and Steven Wronkowski are quality young men and good students. I am sure that there are others on the team as well you can say the same about.
